Hey metalocalypse fandom! Any body know where/How I can get in contact with the metalocalypse author Lemone? It looks like they haven’t been on their LJ or AO3 account in some time, and I’m looking for permission to do a podfic.
So what’s the proper protocol when you want to podfic a story, but the author has disappeared off the face of the internet some time ago and therefore you are unable to get a go ahead from them??? I really wanna do this podfic. i reaaaalllly do! and I’ve already had more than one friend be all “c’mon dude, Podfic is like one of the most amazing compliments evah!’ but you just never know with the internet. I’ve seen some people loose their shit over things meant to be compliments.

Playing with a base coat to make water droplets because I’m uninspired and lazy
oh, that looks awesome!
Putting them in the sink or a bowl of water with some vinegar really helps to remove a lot of that wax and other ick on them. I can’t handle the idea of eating apples without doing that now, knowing how much you can scrape off just with a finger-nail.
THIS EXPLAINS SO. MUCH.
This is why I don’t eat skins. Yuck
What about the wax is harmful? I mean, wax in and of itself really isn’t. Is there a dangerous chemical in it?
(And jeez, don’t you people wash your produce before you eat it, anyway?)
the wax is food grade and is applied to replace the natural wax that gets washed and rubbed off in between picking and distribution.
it’s completely safe to eat, because only 1-2 drops get used per apple. if this really freaks you out, wash your apples before eating them.
also, don’t ever eat jellybeans, or any similar candies, cause they’re buffed with the same wax prior to being packaged.
Wow, a coat of wax can preserve produce for over a year? We should be coating our elderly in wax; apparently it halts organic decomposition. What a miracle product!
The wax itself isn’t harmful. i mean that’s one of the key ingrediants in lipsticks, and chap-sticks. for me though it’s knowing that that wax has indeed been on that apple for up to year and who knows what’s been touching that and sticking to that wax, and germing it all up during that time.
